Our thriving interventional pain medicine practice and surgery center needs an experienced Medical Receptionist who can take over the duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules as well as office organization. We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service.

Medical Office Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
Serves patients by greeting and helping them; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts.
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; and answering any questions the patient may have.
Schedules appointments in person, by patient portal, or by telephone.
Maintains office inventory and equipment by checking stock for needed supplies; maintains the reception area.
Maintains patient accounts and obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting self-pay patient charges; and collecting co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance for third-party claims.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma (Associate Degree preferred); 2 + years of experience at Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing and Professionalism. Must have excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
