<p>I am a physician who practices patient and family centered medicine for you and your whole family in a safe, calming and comfortable environment. I graduated from medical school, Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center, in 2004. I completed a Family Medicine residency in 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA. I worked in the family medicine department at MeritCare/Sanford for 13 years. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and board certified in Family Medicine. My life's passion is to help my patients lead healthier, fulfilled, and more beautiful lives by taking care of the whole perso. This isn't a job to me but a calling. I strive to make decisions with my patients, to be empathetic, compassionate, and straightforward. Your caer should be a collaboration between you and doctor. I get to know my patients and have personal relationships with them. I often get from them just as much as I give. My patients are never a number or initials but individuals with personal stories and families that I care to know about. My personal appraoch to healthcare is blending natural therapies with current advances in medicine and prevention as central to patient care. As a Doctor of Osteopathy, I feel storngly about the whole body approach to medicine and the idea that everything is connected. Osteopathic manipulative therapy, OMT, is a great resource to utilize as it can have such a positive effect on patients</p>
