Arica is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has over 5 years of experience in the pediatric field working with ages birth through eighteen. She has experience providing therapy in the following areas of speech, language and hearing disorders and deficits: articulation, auditory processing, augmentative and alternative communication, cleft lip and palate, developmental delays, Down syndrome, fluency, feeding, language development, oral motor, phonology, social skills, and tongue thrust. Arica believes the power of communication is a wonderful thing and loves being a Speech-Language Pathologist because she gets to help children communicate more effectively every day. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child become confident in their ability to communicate with those around them.
Arica earned her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed to practice in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Arica has received training in The SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, Visual Phonics, Talk Tools, and basic sign language. She is also First Aid/CPR certified.
Arica has two boys of her own, Xander and Crosby. She is currently adjusting to life as a family of four and all of the craziness that it entails. Arica loves being a mom, above all else. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with her husband and boys, making frequent trips to the zoo, and enjoying early morning walks and iced coffee.
